وسجل البرتغالي برناردو سيلفا (5) والأرجنتيني سيرخيو أغويرو (27) الهدفين.
وهو الفوز السابع تواليا لمانشستر سيتي الذي رفع رصيده إلى 77 نقطة بفارق نقطة واحدة أمام ليفربول الذي يستضيف توتنهام الأحد في قمة المرحلة، علما أن سيتي يملك مباراة مؤجلة ضد جاره اللدود مانشستر يونايتد على ملعب "الشياطين الحمر".
وكان مانشستر سيتي الطرف الأفضل منذ البداية واستغل خطأين دفاعيين وترجمهما إلى هدفين حسم بهما نتيجة المباراة بشكل كبير.
وبكر سيتي بالتسجيل وتحديدا الدقيقة الخامسة عندما تلقى برناردو سيلفا كرة من أغويرو سددها قوية زاحفة بيسراه من خارج المنطقة وأسكنها على يمين الحارس الإسباني سيرخيو ريكو (5).
وأبعد الحارس ريكو كرة قوية للدولي البلجيكي دي بروين الى ركنية (10).
ورد برناردو سيلفا الهدية لأغويرو عندما قطع كرة وهيأها له عند حافة المنطقة فتوغل داخلها متلاعبا بمدافعين قبل أن يسددها بيمناه في الزاوية اليمنى البعيدة للحارس ريكو (27).
وهو الهدف التاسع عشر لأغويرو هذا الموسم فعزز موقعه في صدارة لائحة الهدافين.
وتابع مانشستر سيتي افضليته في الشوط الثاني وخلق العديد من الفرص أبرزها تسديدة المدافع كايل ووكر من داخل المنطقة اثر تمريرة من رحيم سترلينغ ارتدت من القائم الأيسر (80).
ويلعب لاحقا كريستال بالاس مع هادرسفيلد، ومانشستر يونايتد مع واتفورد، وليستر سيتي مع بورنموث، وبرايتون مع ساوثمبتون، وبيرنلي مع ولفرهامبتون، ووست هام مع إيفرتون.

LONDON (Reuters) - Manchester City won their first-round victory over Fulham 2-0 on Saturday in the opening round of the English Premier League.
Portugal's Bernardo Silva (5) and Sergio Aguero (27) scored the two goals.
It is the seventh victory of Manchester City, who have scored 77 points, one ahead of Liverpool, who host Tottenham on Sunday.
Manchester City were the best side from the start and took advantage of two defensive errors and translated them into two goals that were largely determined by the result.
Becker City was up for the fifth minute when Bernardo Silva received a volley from Aguero and a powerful shot from outside the area to the right of Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Reyco.
Ricco pulled a strong Belgian international De Bruin into a corner.
Bernardo Silva replied to Aguero when he cut a ball and set it up at the edge of the area and then rolled it into the defenders before sending it to his right in the far right corner of goalkeeper Rico.
Which is the 19th goal of Aguero this season strengthened his position at the top of the list of top scorers.
Manchester City continued their lead in the second half and created many opportunities, most notably defender Kyle Walker from inside the area following a pass from Rahim Sterling who rebounded from the left post.
